( Venus's POV )

Everything went white as the story unfolded.

Once upon a time...

He fell in love.

So innocent, yet already experienced....

This was different, he claimed.

This is different, he stated to the world.

How could someone like this... Be real? He would always ask.

How could someone make him this happy? He would chuckle with a laugh.

He lived his life always wondering.

Muttering..

What fate meant?

What fate did for the world?

Nothing, he would scream at the clouds as a child.

Nothing! He would yell.

But that was when he was young.

When he knew nothing, and the fact...

That all changed when he met her.

He still hangs onto the memories of when he was ten, though.

How he would silently barf every night the food his mother made.

Indulging her at the table, that it was beautiful,

that it was perfect what she made....

Just to see her smile again.

Just to make her stop crying.

He wondered, was it because of fate.?

What is fate that made his mother cry in the kitchen every day?

What is because of fate that her tears made dinner so salty?

He could swim in an ocean made of his mother's tears for all he cared, yet he told her how beautiful she was everyday.

She didn't care as much as he tried.

She would nod, but she didn't care.

What she wanted was his dad to tell her those things, not the dad's son.

She wanted his dads lips to move for her, not her son.

He didn't count.

He never counted.

Yet he smiled for her every day.

Rebuilding her as she broke into pieces.

Putting her back together like a puzzle pretending it was a real one, when really..

Before he knew it he wasn't a child anymore.

Playing wasn't fun anymore.

Laughing an effort..

He finally noticed this childhood was no childhood at all.

He was in prison.

Watching the same movie unfold every night as his father came home just to sleep and walk out the door every morning.
