Teach me how to lose your humanity.
To look someone in the eyes with love,
And the next day, leave them.
And forget about them, while they lose their-
Sanity.
I was told life wasn't an easy pill to swallow.
But I thought you weren't something that
I'd choke up on every time you appear.
In my mind, in reality.
My bleeding heart still rains.
No, it gushes.
Like a waterfall.
Bleeding, bursting through every-
Vein in my body.
But my skin like a bandaid,
And my smile like camouflage.
I saw only pureness and beauty within you.
You saw my dark sides and flashing flaws.
