Chapter 6

ANNABETH P.O.V

Since I had woken up, Percy hadn't left my side at all, he told me all about the attack and entertained me all the time when I was in the infirmary. Finally when he had left to change his clothes Will came for a check up he told me I am progressing and that my weakness was also going to be gone in a few days time.

He then sat down and chatted with me until Percy came. He told me that the night Camp was under attack Percy brought me to the infirmary and wouldn't leave my side it even looked like that he would have a major break down if I wouldn't get well. And Will said that he thought, that I was very lucky to have such a caring friend. Will then left as he had other work to do.

Did Percy really like me? Should I ask him if he did? Would he stop talking to me if I asked him?

"Where are you lost,Wise Girl?"

"Nothing just, happy about the fact that I am recovering"

"Ohkay, so I was saying that Will has asked me to change the bandage, so sit up"

I did as I was told. Percy carefully unwrapped the bandage from my forehead.

"Ohh look, you have completely recovered I don't think we will need to bandage it again, Wise Girl.

I am soo happy that Percy is taking care of me. It's just so cute the way he worries about me, I never knew that if I ever fell ill Seaweed Brain would look after me like this.

Just then a really pretty girl, with bright red hair walked inside the infirmary. Apparently she had gotten bruises on her arms and leg probably because of fighting. She is wearing a white tank top with black jeans and black pumps.
I see Percy staring at her which makes me jealous but I just glare at him. After a moment he walks toward her and exclaims....

"Rachel, is that you?"

"Oh my god Percy, What are you doing here?" She exclaims.

They chat for a little while but then somehow Percy realises that I am alive and around him and he turns towards me.

"Meet Annabeth, she is my best friend and a brave warrior" He says introducing me to her. I wave at her and she waves back at me.

"Hi, I am Rachel Dare, I was Percy's classmate at Goode High"

"It is nice meeting you Miss Dare"

"Ok I need to get myself checked up for any broken bones or stuff till then, Byee" she says trotting off towards Will. Percy looks back at me and helps me out of the bed and takes me back to my cabin as Will had allowed me and said I was doing fine.

2 Months later

After the campfire and singalongs I came back to my cabin. In the middle of the night I awoke due to the hustle an panic outside. I went outside and saw many panicked Campers running here and there. I stopped one of them and asked her what had happened..

"There has been an attack at camp and people who were outside guarding it have been seriously injured, we are not yet sure if the enemies are still out there....." she replied.

It came to me that earlier that day Percy had told me that it was his duty on guard today. I asked the girl if she knew where Percy was she said that they are searching for him, he is nowhere to be found, plus it is a dark night which makes it more -........

I didn't give her a chance to finish and ran towards the boundaries. As soon as I stepped out I bumped into someone and that someone was Luke....

"Well, Well, look who is here. I knew you would come in search of your Percy,"

"Shut up Luke and tell me where Percy is before I kill you"

"Calm down I can guarantee you he is not dead but nearing death, Haven't you become so close to that idiot who is worth nothing"

"Tell me where he is," I say pulling my knife out and getting ready to fight him.

"Ohh aren't you just soo desperate to find him now," He says pinning me to a tree . But before he realises I change positions and now he is the one pinned to the tree. I hit him hard in the stomach and break his collarbone. Leaving him there I leave in search for Percy.

Would he be fine? Will he really die? Is it too late to rescue him? Where is he? All these question are circling in my head when I hear someone groaning in a distance. I run In that direction and in a hurry trip over a log.

"Percy is that you?" I scream in desperation. He groans again.

"Anna---"

I stand up and rush toward him. He is bleeding badly. In the dark I can make out he has been stabbed in the stomach and hit hard on the head. I scream for help as I know I wouldn't be able to carry him alone. Some Campers come running in our direction and carry him to the infirmary. I stayed there frozen in my spot, my mind racing, clothes covered in blood long after Percy is taken.
