“It was another dreary morning, the sun covered by a blanket of grey clouds laying down inches of snow. The world outside of the pane of glass was white; everywhere you looked, a world of white was all you could ever see, covering houses and trees, along with the once grey streets and the cars that lined them. The world outside was quiet, that was also certain, the sounds of the city buffered by both the window and the storm outside. Snowflakes drifted on by lazily, dancing through the light breeze, before landing on the pane of a glass window. A warm, orange light flashed in the window, showcasing a wooden room, the bed in the corner a picture of mishap, its bedsheets lying draped across the floor.”
