it's been two days
since i left you.
i don't feel anything
except anger
when i found out
you had kissed her
despite the copious times
you told me
that your lips had never
grazed another.

i don't feel anything
except anxiousness
when i see your
contact name pop up
on my black screen.
it's been two days
since i left you.
and i don't feel anything
except happiness,
in some sense.
because whatever happened
was bound to happen
and there is nothing
that i regret
about our love.
for you picked me
out of a massive crowd
and you crowned me yours.
for you let me down softly
and you let me neglect
and walk over you.
for you lied to me
just so you could keep me.
for you pieced my heart together
and then broke it again.
not because you don't love me,
but because you wanted me
to realise that self love
is more important
than any.
and i thank you.
