At any given time on any given day, you could, if you wanted to, change the course of your life with one bus ticket, one "why not", or one lingering look at a person who happens to catch your eye. One day, you could wake up and decide you're bored with living a bland life in a bland place and catch that bus to a city you've been dreaming about. You could roll your eyes at every bad thing you've heard about cigarettes and take the offer while mumbling something about life being too short. Maybe, you share a smile with a handsome stranger just a fraction of a second longer than what is considered socially decent.
One instant, one conscious decision to take life into your own capable hands. A moment of realization where you understand that you are entirely responsible for your fate. Well, I almost missed my moment. I should have been too late.
