"Papa!" Philip ran up to Alexander, a plush bear in hand. "M-my teddy bear."

Alexander looked over at him. "Oh. Here let dad patch that up. I'm cooking dinner."

Philip looked over at John who was sitting on the couch. "Dad!" He ran over to him. John looked at him.

"Oh no. What did you do?" He said sitting forward.

Philip pointed to a small tear with some fluff falling out on the bear's stomach. "Broke." He said.

"Here let me fix that for you." John smiled. He got up and went to go get his sewing kit. He stitched up the spot on the bear and smiled. "There you go little man." He handed him the bear back.

"Dinner is ready! Come and get it." Alexander said and smiled. John looked up at him and smiled softly.

Then he woke up. He was very confused, was...no. It couldn't be...it was just a dream. Right? He sat up and wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead. "It was only a dream and nothing more." He told himself. He looked at the clock on the wall. 11:30. "It's only been two hours. It only felt like two minutes..." he sighed and laid back down.

He couldn't get the thought out of his head. He tried to not think about it and go to sleep but it didn't work as well as he wanted it to work. The thought kept slipping into his head.
A family.

When he finally got to sleep he had another dream. No...a memory...

"Alexander. Come on!" John chuckled. He placed a card down and read it aloud. "Historians believe that blank, was the cause of the United states down fall."

Hercules looked at his deck of cards and started laughing.

"Oh no." Lafayette snorted as he set down a card. Alexander came back and sat down next to John and kissed his cheek.

"Ooooh. I got a good one." Alexander chuckled and sat a card down. Once Hercules was done laughing he put his down.

John picked up the cards. "Historians believe that dart Vader was the cause of the United States down fall. the dead children at the barricade." He chuckled. "Or a the ball slapping sex your parents are having right now." He started laughing.

Hercule, Lafayette, and Alexander all started laughing. John picked the last one.

Then John woke up laughing and ended up falling out of his bed.

A nurse came in to help him and to check to see if he was okay. She helped him up. "Are you okay? Did you hit your head Mr. Hamilton?"

"Yeah I'm fine." He chuckled. "I just had a funny dream." He sat down on the bed.

"What was it about? If you don't mind sharing it, that Is."

"It was me and three other guys and we were playing this card game? I don't know what it was call but it was really inappropriate."

"Is that all?"

"Well, Alexander...the guy who claims to be my husband was there. If that counts for anything."

"do you think it could've been a memory?"

"Well, I mean, I don't...I don't think so."

"Did you have any other dreams?"

"Well yeah but," he chuckled nervously. "It was only a dream."

The nurse nodded. "Well be careful. Also, the mulligan family is going to visit you later today, if that's fine with you?"

John nodded and looked at the clock. 8:15 am he sighed. He stilled couldn't shake the fact that his dream didn't seem like a dream. He felt like he had lived it but he didn't remember anything like that before. Well of course he wouldn't, he didn't really remember anything.  He looked back at the nurse. "When will they be coming?"

"They said around twelve."

He nodded. "Well, I'll be here." He laid back down.

The nurse nodded and walked out.

John looked at the bedside table. It had his phone and everything from balloons to even a few teddy bears on it, but there was one thing that caught his eye.

A framed photo of him and Alexander on the beach. They were laying down, there was a wine bottle and some food on a towel in between them. John was kissing Alexander's cheek while holding the camera up. Alexander was smiling widely with his sunglasses on, the sun reflecting off of them.

John sat up and grabbed the photo. There was something familiar about it. He examined the photo and smiled at Alexander's smile. "He looks so happy with me...and his smile..." He smiled wider. "Theres just something about it. I feel like I've seen it..."  he started to remember a tiny bit of that day...

John chuckled. "C'mon. Just please let me take the picture?"

"Okay okay, sorry." Alexander snorted and tried to keep a straight face but when John kissed his cheek he started giggling again. John rolled his eyes and took the photo anyways.

"Did you forget your meds today, babe?"

"How can you tell?" Alexander chuckled.

"Trust me, I can tell." He chuckled and looked at the camera.

"I...I remember this..." He took a deep breath, fighting the lump forming in his throat. "I'm r-remembering things." He put the photo back. "Very little but some things..."

11: 45 a.m. arrived. Hercules, Lafayette and their tiny daughter walked in.

"Hey, John." Hercules smiled. "How ya feelin?"

John looked over. "Fine, I guess. I have a question. Are you Hercules and Lafayette?"

"Oui." Lafayette smiled. "And this little one is Veronica." He said looking down at the baby in the carrier. She giggled and smiled. He smiled back.

"Awe." John smiled at Veronica. "How have you guys been?" He looked back up at them.

"Pretty well, but tired." Hercules replied. "Alexander told us that you don't remember anything about us...about him. He hasn't been doing very well because of that."

"Wait, what?" A look of concern crossed John's face.

Lafayette looked at him. "He's worried  that you, mon amie, won't ever remember him or Philip...Philip called us today because Alexander was crying. Alexander never cries so of course this alarmed us all."

"Oh...well uhm...I do remember some things...not much but...I remember some things..."

"You do?"

"Yeah like this time Philip came up to me with his teddy bear and I had to repair it. Also when I think all four of us were playing this game, I don't know what it's called but it's really inappropriate...Also I remember when I took this photo," he pointed to the framed photo. "not all of that day but some of it."

"That's great, John. Do you know what that day was?" Hercules asked.

"No, I'm afraid I don't."

"It was the day you proposed to Alexander."

"Wait, it was?"

"Oui." Lafayette said. "We helped you plan it."

"How could I forget something like that?" John looked down at his lap.

"I don't know, mon amie. But you're remembering it now and that's great."

"Yeah I know." He looked back up. "Do you know when Alexander is going to visit me again?"

"It may not be for a while but I can't be totally sure."

He nodded. "Okay. Could you just tell him that I'm starting to remember? Please?"

"Yes. I was planning on it the second you said you remembered somethings." Hercules said. "It will make his day so much better." He smiled.
