It had been a couple moons since Ravenkit's terrifying dream and she hadn't had another since. During the time she spent with the rouge cats, she had perfected her hunting abilities and learned a few basic fighting moves. She felt that it was time for her to move on, heading back to her clan to hopefully find it in a better shape than before.
She stood outside the abandoned twoleg storage place, her gaze following the river, the path she would have to take, following the way her clan went. Behind her, she could hear her friends padding up to her.
"So you're leaving?" Allie asked as Ravenkit turned around.
Ravenkit nodded, looking distractedly over her shoulder, back at the river. "Yes, it's past time I leave."
"You could stay here." Zoe's input made Ravenkit pause as she noticed that the cat was sitting still longer than Ravenkit had thought possible for her.
She shook her head, "I can't..."
"Yes you can!" Allie exclaimed, almost begging, "You're welcome here anytime!"
"No, my clan needs me." She meowed, her mind returning to the terrible dream she had, hoping it was just that.
Tiger added, his voice quiet, "They have other cats."
Ravenkit glanced toward him, surprised by his comment. Her tail flicked once in annoyance as she shook her head again.
"If Ravenkit wants to leave, don't try pressuring her into staying." Kitty meowed, "If she ever wants to come back, I'm sure she will."
Ravenkit looked gratefully at Kitty for trying to make it easier for her to leave, nodding, "Yes, and you all are welcome to visit Windclan."
As Ravenkit turned to leave, she could feel the eyes of the rouges on her back and hear everyone, besides Tiger's, meows of goodbye. The river lazily stretched ahead of her, serving as a guide back to her clanmates. She started walking forward, soon picking up her pace until she was running as fast as she could, the fear and worry she had felt since the dream pushing her onward.
Before long, she had to stop. Slowing to a walk, she glanced around, seeing that the river was becoming wider. She sat by the edge of it, peering into the deep, dark water. Inside, she could see fish swimming and, remembering the training Allie had given her, she moved back, making sure she didn't cast a shadow over the water before she hovered her paw over the water, watching. A fish swam within her reach and she reacted, darting her paw into the water with her claws outstretched, scooping out the fish with ease.
It flopped on the ground until Ravenkit bit through its scales, piercing the small creature's spine and killing it. She settled down to eat and regain her energy. Around her, time passed, the shadows of the sun becoming shorter as the sun rose high in the sky. Once she was done resting, she set out again, this time walking.
It seemed like forever when Ravenkit stumbled upon an old abandoned twoleg den. She looked at it, her nose picking up the smell of one cat. She knew that the area was clearly marked as the cat's territory, but she wanted to see if this cat had seen the clan cats coming through here.
Ravenkit approached the den, trying to keep a friendly attitude despite the fear building up inside of her.
