Chapter 3 One Less

James' POV

"Alright, lets see what you prepared for duets!" Riley says to the team. "Mason and Sophia, your up first." After they finished dancing, Noah and Richelle danced and finally Olivia and Liam. Then it came to small groups. There was three groups and the first group was Amy, Cassie, and Piper. Second group, Mason, Skylar, Noah, Olivia. and third group, North, Jake and Liam and Sophia.

"Great Job!" I yell and then Riley and I went to go discuss the dances. "Mason and Sophia work great together and if we have a tie, They would definitely make it to the next round, and they kind of remind me of you and me." Riley said smiling. I was so happy to see her smile because she has been so upset the last few days. "Noah and Richelle have an amazing story line that only they can pull off." I explain. "But Richelle has to do a solo too and that's added pressure if she gets the duet too." Riley commented. "Ok, your right, We need her focus on the solo and not on a duet that we might not need and Olivia and Liam have great technic but are lacking some creativity." I stated. "Well then Mason and Sophia are our duet in case of a tie and for the mystery round it is a 3-6 person dance and the girls group have that sass factor." Riley claimed. "The second group has a story line that is so cool. It is about a dad that lost his children and adopt three children because he is lonely and the very end he finds out they are his long lost children." I told Riley. But then there's the third group, It's  four different styles of dance and at the end the different styles are combined into one amazing dance style." Riley told me.

Riley's POV

"Ok, Mason and Sophia, you are our duet if we have a tie. North, Jake, Liam and Sophia you are our small group for the mystery challenge." James told the dancers. "Skylar and Noah, come to my office." I told them. They sit down in the chairs across from my desk. "You two are our alternates this year." I said to them sadly. "What! Riley please don't make me an alternate!" Skylar pleaded. Noah just sat their but it looked like he wanted to cry. "I chose you guys because you two are the fastest learners so if anything happens you can take someone's place and if there is a girl out, Skylar you will replace them in the dance and same for you Noah." I told them sternly. "Yes, Riley." Noah said and left my office and Skylar ran out of my office and went to Juice Box. (The name of the juice bar)

Richelle came into my office and sat down. "Why did you make Noah an alternate? I am the dance caption and I deserved to know when you make these decisions!" Richelle said loud and mad. "Ok Richelle, I know you are mad because Noah and you are dating but I am the studio head and owner and I get to make the decisions not you." I told her. "If you want, Noah and you can change and he can become dance caption and you can become an alternate." I told her seriously. "Umm No Riley, see you later." Richelle said and left my office.

Awhile later Skylar came into my office. "Riley. I am not going to be an alternate." "Excuse me?" "I want to be in a featured dance at Internationals!" Skylar stated. "Skylar, We went over this, you are not going to be a featured dancer! How many times do I have to tell you." I said starting to get mad. "Fine, Then you need someone to replace me because I am leaving A troupe." She said. "Skylar, You can't. I already submitted the paperwork and you were on the list I submitted." I told her. "Well it looks like you have a problem then, you are going to be sorry that you lost me." Skylar rudely stated.
"Good day Miss Riley." She said and walked out to grab her stuff.

I could not believe what just happened. Suddenly I felt very dizzy, I had to sit down for a little bit. After I felt better I called James and Richelle in my office. "Riley, I am so sorry for what I said, you were right about you making the decisions. Please do not make me an alternate!" Richelle pleaded. "Wait what?" James asked confused. "Richelle I am not making you an alternate." I told her. "Oh thank you so much!" "I called you both in here because Skylar left the studio." "What!?" James exclaimed. "We have to bring up a member from B-Troupe." "Why did she leave?" Richelle asked. "She didn't want to be an alternate so she left." "Okay, Lets have auditions for the A troupe spot tomorrow." James stated. "Ok you can leave now Richelle but don't tell anyone about this until tomorrow." I said. "Ok I won't, and thank you again for not making me an alternate." She said.

All of the dancers have gone home and it was just me and James. "Hey babe. Why don't we go and have a date tonight?" James suggested. "James I would love too but I need to sort out the Skylar issue with the Internationals board." I told him. "You always work, lets have some fun tonight." He said kissing my neck. "James!" I giggled. "What?" He asked. "Lets go." He smirked and grabbed the car keys.

We drove home and got ready for the date night and when we came home James started to kiss me. It was a start of a fantastic and romantic night.
