i looked up from the note and our eyes met for the first time since the break up. now there was smile on his face, a genuine one.
we both left the cafe that day without speaking to each other. but i knew it was the start of something new, something better for us.
the shame and the ill feelings of revenge had been lifted.
neither of us were ugly, both inside and out.
