Stale Ale

Here we are not even two feet apart
Yet we talk not and silence permeates the air
You seem to be lost again why wont you talk to me?
Is this really how a blood bond should be?
I watch you through the corner of my eye, hoping for a glance as well, maybe a chance?
Yet all I see is smoldering smoke in the air
And the faint sweet scent of almost stale ale.
Are we able to go back to the way we were I ask myself tonight,
It wasn't your fault i forbid you not to think that way with fright
I tried to tell you, you didn't believe, whether because to you I'm a liar,
Or another reason I am unable to see?
Please tell me now before i drown in this pain of mine unseen
Yet though I think and blame myself for the broken bottles on the tile
I cant stop thinking to myself that maybe it wasn't me
