(also this one is going to be kind of full cOlOuRfUl language, so be alert, and it is kinda sad in my opinion, but go ahead and read it!:) this chapter is also a longer one, so just to let you know.)

                                                 Stories.

Dan would hear these crazy, magical stories from his mother. Every night, she would tell time a new story. He absolutely loved it. Even though Dan was only six at the time, he remembered these stories so vividly, like they actually happened. One night, his mother told him a story that made him have dreams about it. So many dreams, his mom got worried. It was 8:00 Friday, Dan's mother was getting ready to tuck him into bed. "Hey mommy? Can you tell me the story about the happy boy again?" Dan asked his mother, making her sigh at how much he wants to hear the story again. "Honey, again? You've heard it several times before." She stated with another low sigh, making him nod. "Mommy, it's my favourite. I really like it. A lot." Dan innocently answered, giving his mother big eyes, making her give a small smile to him. "Okay honey, once more." She answered, making him give her the biggest bear hug she could receive.

What Dan doesn't know, is that she needed to leave. His mother has been getting abused by his father quite frequently. And Dan is oblivious to the whole scenario. His mom would come up stairs with more cuts littered her exposed body, yet little Daniel didn't notice. He would sometimes see the scratches and cuts, saying to himself she just fell down the stairs, or tripped a bit. Never did he once think his 'loving' father would do this. Though, it's not much of a surprise, considering that he never once respected that his son would say things about how he liked boys. His mom would clap and ask questions, always getting happy smiles her way. On the other hand, his dad would scoff and turn away from his own son, making Dan sigh sadly, making his way upstairs.

"Okay Dan. One day, a beautiful blued eyed wonder was up above the cloud. He would venture about his town, not having a care in the world, no matter what evil beast was around to knock him back down. He would always wear the same things. A light blue flower crown, some black skinny jeans, a light pastel pink sweater, and some unconventional zipped up shoes. He would smile at passerby's, not caring about the glares he would get back. What people didn't know, is that he was an angel. A beautiful angel, with the softest, whitest wings you could imagine. This boy, this beautiful angel boy, was named Philip Michael Lester. Even though he would rather be called Phil, everyone would call him by his last name, Lester. Now, at school, people would not be very nice to the boy. People would be mean and say hurtful things towards him, making him very sad. They would bully him. Beat him to the core. Until, a fallen star came out of their way to help this poor, poor beaten angel. Even though he was an angel, he couldn't control, nor stop, the things that were happening. The fallen star was a handsome young man. He would always have his hair in a deep, brown fringe, going over his eyes. He would wear dark shirts, gray jackets, white shoes, and a random hat that was lying around. One day, this boy helped him, and they become closer then anything you could imagine. Soon enough, they spent their lives together. Their key word is together." And just like that, she kissed Dan's forehead, turned that lights out, and left the room.

Her story was over. Just like that. She left the room with a warm atmosphere, even the cool, rigid November air that was nipping at his face, was somehow a warm blanket that kept him in a safe enclosure. Dan smiled a happy, happy six year old smile, as he closed his eyes, going off into a world of melodious slumber.

------------

Many years have passed, and now Dan is fifteen. He still asks his mother to tell him stories, as babyish as it sounds. She would tell him the one about the happy boy, always receiving a warm, happy smile in return. Dan knew from the beginning he was gay, but now he didn't want to be. His father was becoming harsh. He would abuse his mother in front of Dan, him tying to stop this crazed man. That would result to Dan getting even more hurt then his mother. She would whisper soothing things in his hair as this father left, keeping him calm from having a panic attack. He would be lying if he said he loved his father. Despise was his only feelings towards him. Dan actually felt like he could trust and be himself in front of his mother. Though he really, and truthfully, wished they were all closer as a family.
