There will always be beasts. There will always be animals crying into the dark, howling towards the blackened sky. There will always be the night, coming in to drown the day, and there will always be the shadows. The shadows never leave. But maybe there's something to salve the ache the shadows bring. A remedy, hidden out there somewhere. Maybe when the king of those beasts himself wanders furthest into those shadows and loses himself in its comforting darkness, there's a chance to bring him back, there's a chance a girl with a lost soul can salvage his own. Because he's the king of beasts, and all he has to do is cry out for his queen and those midnight shadows won't stand a chance.
