Chapter Two
MISSING

Mrs. Nopel was unaware of what happened. Luke calmed me down to my normal state and Nazel was so freaked out that she went back to her cavern. The day was over. Though Nazel was gone, the day did not get any better.
My powers were dying as soon as I started up each time, I flew into every obstacle thrown in my way, and when  we had to solve a probelm that required a spell, my magic was useless and I knew that my emotions wouldn't let me corroperate with my team.
I told Luke that he could go check on Nazel while I flew home by myself.
There was a time when we were all friends. Though if your best friend stabs you in the back to get what she wants, then she was never your best friend to be begin with.
My jaw dropped when I reached the front porch. There was a big red X splatter painted onto the door. I let out a gasp when I notice a piece of paper wedged between the door and the frame.
I was afraid to take it and knew that whatever information I was about to know, I had to keep it a secret.
My fingers shook as I slowly grabbed the paper. My eyes closed shut and my hands were still trembling as I unfolded it. I took a deep breath and made sure my feet were firmly planted on the porch so I wouldn't fall from the sky.
When I opened my eyes, there was a note written in black ink. Thoughts were swirling through my mind as I read:
She will come back when you complete the following:
1. Find Moscow
2. Use it on Nazel
3. Kill Mazy
The writing was normal fairy-like but it was still hard to read. I had no idea who knows my life well enough to do this to me, unless this fairy knows the same people. Maybe a certain fairy wants me go do their dirty work, but these are my friends. I'm not sure what the note meant by 'she will come back'.
I kept the paper in my hand but stopped trembling until I stepped into the cavern.
Guardian Frilly wasn't in her usual spot when I got there.
My heart sped up. Guardian Frilly  is normally siting in the chair waiting for me to come home. That's when I spotted another note in the chair.
I left for groceries. Be home soon.
It was written in Guardian Frilly's hand writing. Something still didn't feel right. The ink was the same, so I flipped the paper to the back a red X was painted.
It was a trick, all a trick. Maybe I shouldn't have found out so early.  I sat in her chair then a sticky goo of glitter slid down my face.
Tears. I was crying. My Guardian Frilly has gone, missing. Someone took her. Frilly raised me, she's always been there for me so I have to be here for her. I have to get Guardian Frilly back, she's mine.
I jumped from the chair and picked up the first note. The instructions were clear. Moscow is a liquid, it's found in the last graytree bordering the land that separates the Dark fairies from the Delicate ones.
Moscow is simple but it damages a fairy's use of their wings and their senses. Whoever wants me to use this on Nazel, clearly thinks she should be punished.
At this point, I would do anything to get Guardian Frilly back. When it's time to hurt my friends, I will have to do it.  Guardian Frilly means the most to me.
                                ***
As Dark fell, I was ready. My back pack was packed of whatever I would need, fairy food, another dress and a magic book.
Dark fairies aren't supposed to be out of their cavern at night because it's dangerous. It's when our powers are at the weakest, the brightness of the moon drains us.
I couldn't wait until morning. Whoever has Guardian Frilly wouldn't be nice enough to give her food and water. They're probably torturing her somehow. The fairy stranger must have a reason and when I get Guardian Frilly back, I'm going to figure out what that reason is.
I risked one last glance at the cavern before I left. The paint was still there, the door was still open. It's not that I dreaded to scrub it away, which I would, but I was in hope some other fairy would notice hs both missing tomorrow. I can't tell anyone, they wouldn't believe me and certainly wouldn't help.
So I crumbled up the instructions into my right hand and flew off.
My pace slowed so I could tell Luke bye. Of course he wouldn't know I left, but just seeing my best friend again, even if it was the last time....no, I will be back.
After I stared at the door, a glowing fairy was on patrol. The same King passed a law that it was madatory for officers to check that all Dark fairies were still in their caverns.
I hadn't thought about. Fairies would know I'm missing before tomorrow morning. So I waited to make the patrol fairy wasn't capable of seeing me and I left. I flew as fast as I could up into the night sky in the direction of the very last graytree.
