Chapter 4
Shimmer's POV
We all walked to Lexi's apartment. Autumn was waiting outside the building. "Hey guys." She said. "Sup." Skyler said. "Hey." I mumbled. "Hello," Lexi said, opening her door. "I can drive," Lexi offered. "We can put our stuff here for now though and stay here for a bit then go on a dress mission." Lexi said. I nodded as I walked into her house. I bit my lip. It was nice. Not one thing out of place.
We walked into a decent size room, covered in posters. Most of the posters were of that Homestuck character, uhh what's his name, Dirk I think? Well yeah he was kinda cute but he was a fictional character.
"I see you read Homestuck too?" I said. "Yes! Oh my gog, I love it. My favorite characters are Dirk and Nepeta." She said. "I like Dave and Vriska." I said. I started fangirling over Dave. Skyler lightly punched my shoulder. "Hey. Earth to Shimmer." She said. "Oh, I'm sorry. What was that?" I said slightly embarrassed. "I said, does anyone want something to drink or eat," Lexi said. "No. I'm fine." I said.
Skyler stared at me. "You've barely ate at lunch and you say your not hungry? Damn, you can go a while without eating." Skyler said. "Uhh, y-yeah." I said, faking a smile. We sat and talked about our life deals until I asked, "What time is it?" Lexi took out her phone. "6:13." She said. "You guys wanna go now?" She asked. Everyone nodded and I slowly got up. "There's a dress shop a couple blocks down." Lexi said.
I grabbed my phone out of my school bag and put it in my back pocket. Was I the only one without a purse here? Okay then.
We all hopped into Lexi's vehicle. Autumn was in the passengers seat which left Skyler and me in the back. Lexi pulled out of the driveway and we were off. The drive was only about 5 to 10 minutes. We arrived at an old building that said "Anna's Dresses" in fancy writing.
"I know it looks all run down and shitty but they have amazing dresses." Lexi said. I just wanted to pick out a dress that was suitable and presentable for me. I don't care what color or how long. I don't care about any of that crap.
Skyler's POV
"Oh! Skyler! I think you might like these ones." Lexi said, handing me three dresses. "Woah," I mumbled. "Go try em on!" She said, smiling. I sighed and mumbled, "okay." I stumbled into a dressing room and slipped the first one on. It was grey and a bit sparkly. It had no straps and it was knee length it was a bit poofy but not much.I like this one. It had a cool swerve pattern on it too.
"Skyler, lemme see." Lexi said. I opened to door to see that Lexi had already had a dress on. "That dress suits you," I said, looking at it. It was purple and silver. It was tight from her waist and up but poofy at the bottom. It was strapless and had a silver line at the top. She smiled at me. "You look fabulous." She said. "Forget the others. You should get this one," Lexi said. "I know I really like it." I said.
Shimmer walked up to us and just stared. "I wish I could look as beautiful and skinny as you two." She mumbled. "And who said you weren't?" Lexi said, turning around to her. "Come on, I'll help you find a dress." Lexi said, grabbing Shimmers hand and walking off still in her dress.
Autumn's POV
I stepped out of the dressing room. I had a tight red dress on. It was strapless but there was a see-through black long sleeve to put over it. It looked beautiful. It was the sixth dress I've tried on but the only one i liked.
I walked over to Skyler and stared at her. "You look amazing!" She exclaimed. I blushed a bit and stared at the ground. "Thanks." I mumbled. "You look great too." I said. She looked beautiful!
I went back and changed my outfit. I took a deep breathe. Yup, I was going to prom and I was going to ask her out! Yeeeeeee! I couldn't help but to feel all happy inside. Wait! What if she doesn't like girls? Shit! I'll ask her later but right now I just need to focus on my friends.
Okay. It may have been short but I don't care! Now I'm thinking that I am like Shimmer... Feedback please! :33
