the tunes were playing softly out of a set of speakers. her fingers were gracefully draped around the wine glass as she poured the burgundy liquor into it. a sad smiled snaking onto her lips as she sat down in her living room, alone. the music made up for some of his absence, but she still felt lonely.
it was his voice that was singing in the song and her attention was turned entirely to the soft melodic sound that came from the speakers. it made her miss him more. as his part ended she turned away from the speakers and took a sip from her wine glass.
" this is a happy song, but to me it is so sad when you're not with me, and the complete opposite when you are. "
