My dad & were at japanese restaurant eating dinner. I ordered the teriyaki beef bowl with rice. While my dad ate sushi, we also share a plate of shrimp & vegetable tempera too. "This looks great sweetheart ", my dad said to me. I didn't see anything bc I was too busy thinking about the thing with Bennett & the case too. Idk why, but for some reason I have this feeling that I don't think I'm strong enough for the case. "I'm gonna go to Oakland for a meeting this week, & then meeting up with ur mom there, afterwards, after that I'm flying to Japan", My dad continue on. "Wait bc of Bennett, Jackson told me about all of that earlier ", I then said. "Well yes I gotta tell his family whats going on & see if they need any kind of protection. I mean I feel like I do owe him since he's been helping U out. U guys have gotten close lately, it's a good thing", he said. "Is it ?" I asked calmly. "Sweetheart there is another thing I want to talk to U about. I'm hoping this will be my last case. I'm thinking of retiring. I figure I can be with mom more in the Bay Area, & check up on U kids (me, Daniel, & Cindy) more often. It will be great", he explained. "Wow retiring....that's great dad, but what about ur agency? U work for so long to get it running.", I replied kinda surprised by the news. "I was thinking about maybe Jackson & Melodie can run it, or Marlon. There's no way I'm gonna hand it Chief Wong, & well I know U guys wanna do else with ur lives beside fighting crime. I wanna give U guys opportunities to do that", my dad said now eating his sushi. I was still analysing the news. Would this be my last case too ???
