Chapter 32

Jake's P.O.V

I've been depressed these few weeks. The news of Blaire's engagement really knocked me over. The love of my life is wed to another guy and I hate that! I've been neglecting work and my co-partner is taking over my meetings. I didn't know what to do. It was like I was lost in my own fantasies that hoping Blaire would change her mind and come back to me. I miss her and my son. I know what I did back in high school really hurt her but she only saw Kylie's view but she never saw mine. I really wanna explain to her what happened but she just wouldn't budge. My phone vibrated signalling I had a text. I sighed and took out my phone. I typed in my password which is 'Blaire' and saw that there was a message from her. I clicked on it and it opened:

Hey meet me at Starbucks on 10 min
We really need to talk

-Blaire

I smiled and quickly typed back

Yeah sure I'm on my way.

-Jake

She didn't reply and I took a shower to freshen up. When I was done, I got dressed and put on my cologne. I checked myself in the mirror and saw that my eyes are puffy and red. I also see that there are black bags under my eyes and I knew it was because I didn't get much sleep. I fixed my hair and went to the living room. I grabbed my keys,wallet and phone and went out of the penthouse. I got in my car and drove off to Starbucks .

~at Starbucks~

I got there and got out of my car. I walked in and looked for Blaire. I immediately spotted her beautiful hair and walked to her. I sat down and she looked up. She smiled weakly and I saw the ring in her finger. My whole world crumbled again and a few tears escaped from my eyes. I quickly wiped them away but she noticed.

"Hey Jake listen I -" but she stopped when she took a look at me. Her eyes widened

"Jake what happened? Are you okay?" She asked and I love it when she's worried about me.

"Its nothing Blaire" I didn't mean to lie to her but I don't want her knowing that I had been crying myself to sleep each night because of her.

"Jake are you sure? What's -" but she got cut off by me

"Look can you just drop it. I told you it's nothing. Now can we order" I snapped at her. I didn't mean to snap at her.

She nodded her head and asked me what I want. I told her and she went to go buy it. She came back and handed me my cappuccino. I thanked her and she nodded her head

"So what do you wanna talk about" I ask

"I've assumed you read the latest updates have you" she asked

I winced and nodded my head. Feeling my heart ache for her.

"Yeah I've heard. I just can't believe you're marrying him Blaire" I said and took her hand

She didn't pull away and I continued "Blaire we're meant to be together. I know the stuff that happened in the past hurt you but that's the past. Blaire we have a son, a son I never knew about only until recently. Blaire I love you so much. I want us to be together. I miss you and I know you feel the same way. The kisses we had was magical and filled with love. You felt it too otherwise you would've pulled back and slap me. Blaire please look at me" I pleaded and my tears were falling

She looked up and she was crying too. She sighed and said "Jake ever since we bumped into each other , you're all I ever think about. I wanted to te you about Blake I really wanted to, but then I thought back to when you hurt me and I just thought that you shouldn't know. I never thought I'd see you again. You're right I felt it when we kissed but it was wrong. It should never have happened. I'm sorry I have to go" she got up but I quickly stopped her

"Jake what are you doing. I'm going to marry Harry in 5 months time" she said and there's that ache again

"Blaire if you really don't feel anything for me anymore then look me in the eye and tell it to me" I challenged her although I'm shit scared of her answer

"I...I can't tell you that Jake" she said quietly

I smiled and lift her chin. I looked into her eyes and my gaze dropped to her lips. I leaned in and she leaned in too. Soon her lips was soon on mine and we kissed. Her lips is so warm and refreshing. I cupped her face and she held onto me. This is perfect.
She pulled away and I smiled at her.

"Come on let's go to my penthouse. I promise we won't do anything. Just talk" I said and she nodded.

I took her hand and we went to the parking lot. We got in our cars and she followed me.

~at the penthouse~

We came to my penthouse and I grabbed her hand. I unlocked my door and pulled her in. I closed my door and saw her staring at my place. I wrapped my arms around her and she relaxed. I kissed her neck and she turned around. She looked at me and I immediately kissed her. She kissed back and we walked backwards until she came to the tip of the couch and she fell backwards with me on top of her. I slowly detached my lips from hers and kissed her down her jawline to her collarbone. She sighed and placed my lips back on hers. She pulled away and looked at me. We smiled at each other and we watched some tv. After she got up and went home.
