I didn't know. It's not my fault.
They didn't tell me what all my research was for. A weapon. They made me create a weapon. And then made me refine it until it was undetectable.
I tried to warm them...that she would be unstable. Unable to be in a normal society. Inhuman. Cold. Ruthless.
They dismissed me, the "ravings of a madman" they claimed to anyone I told.
Oh God. What have I done?
She has the potential to rule the world.
She could rip apart the entire frail country we have salvaged from the ashes of war and bathe the ruins in blood.
Hybrid.
Half-animal.
Half-human.
All killer.
I told them that it would take years to find the perfect candidate, to buy myself time to destroy it. They took it from me and laughed. I laugh even as I write this, pen shaking. I will give the full story, if only for my future children.
