Time

I wonder

How to think of you

How to take hold of you

Oh, won't you become

Mine?

What you have done for me

I cannot repay

I long for you

And I throw you away

What have you thought of me

I who abandoned you

You pass by

You fly

You greasy mess

The world hungers

To hold you under its fingers

Unceasing, unwavering

Flawless and untamable

The world you take hold

As we marvel under your fingers

How beautiful

How divine

Will you bring yet another day?

I long to play with you again

You pitiable creature

One after another

They have left you alone

I will stay with you

Keep you warm at night

So stay by my side

I'll lend you my light

I long for you

Though I've thrown you away

So forget me not

And begin a new day
