Everyone has their
own demons
to hide from.
They lurk around
waiting for any
sign of weakness.
They're constantly on
the prowl.
Searching for their
next meal.
They feast on your doubts.
Savouring the anger
and frustration of life.
Yet nobody can ever
truly recognize
that the demons we all have
are reflections of ourselves.
We are filled with greed and envy.
Lust and gluttony.
For such emotions
only bring out the bad in people.
So these 'demons'
that hunt us down
and drive us mad,
We can only be to blame.
For when the sun goes down,
evil springs to life
during these
silver nights.
