All our words equate to silence
because we're talking
and people are hearing
but nothing seems to resonate.
So when one person speaks
instead of talking
nobody is listening.
Our silence only grows.
I hate this silence
This is what makes us Alone
This is what brings us all our pain
Because when nobody is there
and nobody cares
then what is the point?
They say that people do care
but they're too afraid to show it.
That provides no comfort
when silence is silence
and you can't tell care from careless.
Will you just speak to trees
when nobody will listen to you?
Or will your words become talk
and your ears turn to stone?
When someone speaks to you
they way you did
before the silence took you,
will you listen?
Will you let the silence grow?
