Yesterday I felt happy
I sang, danced; I was zappy
Life was wonderful; you phoned
I was not alone
Today I feel lonely
There is only just me
Alone in a big house
Wandering free
And tomorrow, more lonely
I do need company
Since you, my dear, have gone
The sun has not shone
I'm just a lonely girl
Lonely and free
I'm all alone
There's only just me
