I rush back to class. I walk into class and look at Amanda with the biggest smile and she smiled back. She knew I did it. I sit down next to her and I say, "We're going to the Pierce the Veil concert." It was such an exciting moment for us and I teared up a little bit.
"Now all we have to wait for is the album release next month" Amanda said.
"I can't wait"
"Me neither. Thank you so much for buying me the concert ticket."
"No problem."
The rest of that day felt like the second best day in my life. The first best day of life being the actual day of the concert.
~One month later~
It's Sunday, May 12th. The day before the Misadventures album is released. I decided to go out to the mall with a group of my non-emo friends.
"GUYS THE MISADVENTURES ALBUM COMES OUT TOMORROW"
"The what?"
" The who?"
"ok"
They didn't understand my excitement for this album release.
"Nevermind guys" I say in despair.
I loved my non-emo friends, but they just don't understand me sometimes but I guess that's still okay. We go shopping and we eat Chipotle after. I still have fun with them and we share some jokes and laughs. We then head home around 4 PM because I still had to do homework. We get on the train and we part ways from there. I arrive at home at around 4:45 PM and immediately hop into the shower. I play the songs that were released early from the Misadventures album in celebration for the release the next day. Once I get out of the shower I get dressed and take my homework out and I get to work while listening to my music on shuffle.
10 PM on the dot. *BZZZT*
"A notification from ITunes? That's weird i nev- HOLY SHIT THE ALBUM IS AVAILABLE NOW ON ITUNES."
I click on the notification and it brings me to my music on my phone. All the songs are there right before my eyes. I get my Beats headphones which I only use at home when I really want to jam to music. I put everything down and I play the whole album. I listen to the whole thing in order, even listening to the songs that were released early. I had to take the time to absorb all the music and lyrics in. This album was a beautiful piece of art.
Once I listened to every single song in the album I went back to doing my homework. At around 11:30 PM I texted Amanda.
"DID YOU LISTEN TO IT?"
"YESSSS"
"OMG ITS SO GOOD"
"I KNOW"
"Omfg this album is going to sound so good live"
"It is."
"I'm excited. Well I'm going to bed goodnight."
"Goodnight"
