Chapter Fourteen
I looked up at Tara as she folded Tommy's old sheets. I can't believe he's actually dead. That means I'm the only boy left. Who knows if my mom and Josie are even still alive? It hasn't even been two weeks. If they are, I have to assume all the responsibilities of the house. If not, I don't know what I'll do.
She looked up at me as she put his sheets in a box.
"You ok?" She said.
"Uh....yeah. You?"
"What do you mean me?"
"Your dad."
"Oh...." she said pausing, "I guess." I walked to the other side of the bed where she stood like a rock. I held out my arms and wrapped them around her. She did the same with her arms. It felt awesome.
