Hi everyone! So I've finally started that new project I've been promising for ages. Unfortunately, it's not the TKC sequel you all want, but it does take place in the same world, featuring some of the same characters.
The King's War, which will be the Nate and Avery sequel taking place almost directly after this one, is coming soon.
Here's the synopsis:
In a world where vampires rule, Sabine Ambrose wants nothing more than to become one. Disgraced and despondent from her failure to win the heart of the Northern Territories' King Nathaniel Bryce, she sets her sights on the New Orleans, the capital of the post-war South.
There she meets Tristan, the prince with the target on his back. His jealous cousins seek to ruin him and enlist in Sabine's help to do so. Vain, selfish, and completely void of principle, Sabine agrees. But kindness has a way of melting ice-cold hearts, as she soon finds.
Unbeknownst to her, a quiet war has brewed in the city for centuries. On one side is the unscrupulous and cutthroat Sinclair family, with vampire king Sheridan at its head. On the other side is an ancient enemy who threatens to unravel everything he's built in an effort to make him pay for old and brutal crime, and it intends to make Tristan the target for its revenge.
Anyway, Sabine has always been fun to write and wanted to write something with her as the main character. I originally wanted this to be a standalone spinoff, but that's not how it ends up panning out. Let's just say, the effects of this book will have far reaching consequences on everyone in the TKC world, and will heavily influence the plot of the Nate & Avery sequel.
One note of warning however — TKC was fairly clean, aside from some language. QoN won't be explicit, but it will have more references to sex, some violence, and be overall darker in tone and deal with some macabre subject matter. Hope that piques your interest. ;)
