Newt Scamander knew Harry Potter all along.
Although you could not see his face during the scene where Fred and George Weasley show for the first time Harry the Marauder's Map, the name of Newt Scamander can read it clearly.
As you know, the map decodes the location of each person in Hogwarts at that time, so we can confirm that the magizoólogo was at Hogwarts at the time.
The explanation seems clear, and the most popular theory says that Scamander was in the grounds of Hogwarts by the Hippogriff Hagrid.
