Oak Island is a small private island in Nova Scotia. For over two-hundred years, people have been searching for an incredible treasure.

So far, there have been multiple groups that have tried to solve the mystery, but all have failed. Now, there is a new group there. They have been unsuccessful in finding the treasure so far, but, they have not given up yet.

The search started in the year of 1795 when it was discovered by a couple of teenagers that had claimed that they first went to the island because a mysterious light was seen there. When they arrived on the island, they saw a tree that looked as if it had been used to hold up a pulley. There was also an odd depression in the ground. So, the boys decided to dig it up. At the ten foot mark, they found several wood planks. Same with the twenty, thirty, forty and even fifty feet. At sixty feet below the surface, they found bits of gold chain. Sadly, the chain was lost afterward. Finally, at ninety feet, they uncovered a large, flat stone with strange symbols carved into it. But, as soon as the stone was removed, the entire vertical shaft, flooded with sea-water. The stone was lost, but some think that it was used in a bookbinding shop in Halifax. Years after the stone was lost, it was translated. It read "Forty feet below, two million pounds are buried" Because the tunnel was flooded with sea water, they could not excavate any further. In recent years, direct relatives of one of the boys came forward to the latest team and gave them a gold cross. Claiming that it had come from the Money Pit. They told them that in the pit, the boys had found three chests. Each boy kept one. The cross was passed down through the years, and finally reached the women that brought the story forward.
