After a quick greeting with my parent’s I convinced them I was tired enough to go straight up to my room and sleep. Normally they’d want to watch a film with Oliver and I, but I was far too mentally exhausted for any family time right now.

Making sure I had all my books and notes ready for college tomorrow I sat my bag by my bedroom door so I wouldn’t forget it, and quickly scrambled into my pyjamas.

Something about pyjamas made me happy. It was just the general feeling of being relaxed that I welcomed, especially after my weekend. I was never going to another one of Oliver’s godforsaken parties.

It was 8:45pm and I felt like I could drop off at any moment. Instead, I turned my laptop on and decided to burn my eyeballs with the brightness of the screen for a little while longer.

A knock came to my door just as I laughed out loud at something I’d seen on someone’s blog. Great, way to make me look like a freak.

“Come in!”

My mother stepped in to my room and shut the door behind her.

“You feeling alright love? It’s not like you to skip our family bonding sessions.” Mum worried, sitting down at the end of my bed and nearly crushing my foot which was hidden under my warm duvet.

“Mum I’m eighteen, I think I’ve had enough family bonding to last me a lifetime.” I laughed, closing down my laptop and immediately snatching my phone off my bedside table.

“Well thanks a bunch! You left me down there with your brother and father!” She joked, playfully smacking my legs. “You have a good weekend?” She asked casually.

“It was entertaining.” I answered truthfully, nodding.

“Well I thought I’d just come and say night. I thought you’d have raided the fridge by now as well.” She laughed, and I stuck my tongue out back at her.

Eventually my mum left and I heaved myself out of bed and into my bathroom to brush my teeth. Standing in front of the mirror I lazily dragged the brush over my teeth before rinsing and turning my bathroom light off. Once I had clambered back into bed I sat staring at my phone for a good few minutes, before finally admitting to myself that I needed sleep.

Just as I began to drift into sleep, I felt a breeze across my face, and my eyebrows scrunched in confusion. Opening one eye, I noticed my curtains waving about in the draught as well. I debated for a good few moments about just leaving it, but in the end succumbed to closing the window.

Hating myself for getting out of bed, especially when I was nearly asleep, I forcefully closed the window with a slam. However, much to my confusion a loud yell followed by curse words succeeded my actions. Looking out the window in horror, my eyes widened at the scene in front of me.

A head of curls was holding onto my window ledge by one hand, the other dangling by their side. Harry.

Lifting the window back up and securing it I gasped.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I spoke as loud as I could, careful not to let my parents hear me.

“I came to see you, but you just closed the window on my fucking hand! I think you’ve broken something.” He shot back, looking up at me.

“Me? I didn’t break anything; you’re the one trying to scale my house!”

“Yeah well the least you could do is help me up.” He huffed.

“Oh no, the last thing you are doing is coming in here. I’m sick of you Harry, leave me alone or so help me I will slam the window shut on your other precious hand.”
