A Love Story-A ChanDhara SS (On Hold)

Part 1

Magadh Kingdom which was regarded as one of the most powerful kingdoms in Ancient Indian history. It was ruled by Samrat Chandragupta Maurya. He was the favorite disciple of Pandit Vishnu Sharma,better known as Aacharya Chanakya. He was also the sole reason behind Chandragupta becoming a king.

The court was dismissed and all the courtiers were retired to their respective tasks assigned to them by their King. It was by luck that there was still some time left in sunset,usually the court work ended after it got dark! The next thing which was on the to do list for the king was to roam around his kingdom in disguise,so that he could keep an eye on the things going on in his kingdom!!

Clad in black salwar and red kurta with a turban on head,he covered his face with a cloth so that only his eyes were visible. 'Perfect' was the word which came to his mind after seeing his reflection in the mirror. No one will be able to recognise that who he is. After keeping a small kataar in the pocket of inner side of his kurta,he set out for the jaunt!!

Market place -

There were rows of shops which sold things like cereals,pulses,spices etc. Also,there were other merchants who sold silk garments & cotton clothes too. Some handicrafts & woodcrafts were also on display. He had taken a round of entire market and now he was nearing the villages. The villagers lived in communities according to their occupation. Like potters lived in separate area,while those who were carpenters lived in the other part. It was beginning to get dark.

He had entered the part where potters lived. The atmosphere had a heady smell but a calm environment. His feet stopped at an adorable sight. Two little girls were sitting outside their home and were painting a small earthen toy. His mind reeled down d memory lane of by gone days...

Flashback...

A little boy and girl were sitting outside their hut and the girl was making earthen toys. She had learned to make them and was trying more and more to achieve expertise at it. The boy was watching her making a toy.

Dhara-"Dekho Chandra,ye achhi bani h na?"
(Chandra,look at this,I'd made it..how's it?)

Chandra-"Tu kya bna rahi hai Dhara,ye gudda kam aur bhalu zyada lag raha hai.."
(Dhara,what have you made,this is looking more like a bear rather than a human,U know!)

The boy starts laughing on seeing her glaring at him..

Dhara-"Tumhe meri bnayi koi chiz achhi nahi lagti,maine itni mehnat ki phir v tum mera mazak uda rahe ho..

Jao mai tumse baat nahi karungi..huh"
(You are making fun of me.. I won't talk to you)

Chandra-"Arey Dhara ruko,gussa mat ho..kaha ja rahi ho..ruko to.."
(Hey,Dhara..please listen to me,where are you going..stop!)

But she went inside and he was left there alone..

Chandra-"Ye to gussa ho gayi..ab ise manana padega.."
(Damn! She got angry..I have to mollify her)

Chandra tried to talk to her but she was avoiding him. It was easy to handle her irritation rather than enduring her silence!

But he knew what he had to do to make her smile & forget her anger..

Next Day..(past)

Chandra-"Dhara mere paas tumhare liye kuchh h.."
(Dhara,I have got something for U)

Dhara-"Mujhe tumse baat nahi karni aur tumse kuchh nahi lena.."
(I don't want to talk to U neither do I want anything from U)

Chandra-"Arey ek baar dekh to lo.."
(Dhara,please at least have a look)

Dhara-"Kaha na maine,nahi chahiye kuchh v.."
(I told U already,I don't want anything,didn't U hear)

But Chandra didn't stop nagging her..she was standing with her back to him,so she turned around to glare at him but stopped seeing the thing which he held in his palm..

He was holding two ripe mangoes,her favorite.. summers have begun but she hadn't ate the first of this season & Chandra very well knew that she would forget her anger seeing her favorite fruit...And it really worked like miracle!

Chandra put the mangoes in her palm and stood with a cute expression..with holding his ears and asking for an apology in the cutest way possible..

Dhara's lips twitched into a smile and using her free hand she removed his hands from his ears..which meant that his apology is accepted.

Present...

He was jolted back to the present by the tug at his salwar.The children had noticed his presence and one of the girls asked him that what was he doing there! He nodded his head and moved ahead to go to the palace.

Night time-

The moon shown brilliantly over the night sky. There was tranquility all over. People had gone to sleep after a tiring day. But there was someone whose eyes were still devoid of sleep..

Flashback...

A boy & a girl were playing and running in d jungle amidst the trees...

The boy was ahead of the girl & asked her to catch himself..

Chandra-"Arey Dhara,maine to tumhe pakad liya,Ab tum v bhi mujhe pakad kar dikhao.."

Dhurdhara-"Tumhe kya lagta hai Chandra,mai tumhe nahi pakad paungi..abhi dikhati hu tumhe.."

The boy increases his speed a bit to tease the girl..

Chandra-"Arey Dhara,tum to bahut sust ho gayi ho,thoda khud par dhyan diya karo..

Sirf khati ho,kuchh kaam nhi karti..

Aise to tum moti ho jaogi.."

Dhurdhara-"Tum zyada baatein mat banao,samjhe.."

The boy slows himself purposefully and thus,she catches him..

Dhurdhara-"Dekha,hamne tumhe pakad liya.."

Present..

Chandra -"Tumne to wada kiya tha mujhe chhod kar nahi jaogi..phir q gayi mujhe chhodke..tumne apna wada tod diya Dhara..mujhe akela chhod kar chali gayi.."
(You had promised me that you would stay with me forever,then why did you left me alone,Dhara..why did you broke your promise..why)
