World War I, the war to begin the 20th Century, the war to end all wars, the setting of Battlefield 1. World War I is possibly the most important war in history and something like the Central Powers winning the war would change the entire century. It was because of bad decisions, that lead the true power of the United States of America to defeat 2 declining empires, and 2 imperial ambitioned nations, just to help a democratic ally and a declining superpower. In this chapter I'm not going to explain how the Central Powers would win, but how the map of Europe would look like if a Central Power victory has been accomplished, and a majority of what I'm explaining was suppose to happen but it didn't happen because America. So let's start with Bulgaria. Bulgaria simply wanted to dominate the Balkans and become a Balkan superpower, well so did Austria-Hungary, but Bulgaria annexed territory which Bulgaria claimed to be historic Bulgarian land. After the fall of Serbia and Montenegro Bulgaria annexed 2/3rds of Serbia. After the treaty of Bucharest, Bulgaria annexed parts of Romania which Bulgaria lost in the 2nd Balkan War. Also due to Central Power supporting king of Greece abdicating in 1917, and Greece's declaration of war on the Central Powers for violating Greek territory, Bulgaria would also annex parts of Greece which Bulgaria lost in the 2nd Balkan War. Now to the Ottoman Empire. The Ottomans were on the decline due to wars with Austria, Italy, and Russia which decreased Ottoman territory. The Ottomans wanted to annex Russian territory in the Caucus region and small parts of Persia. The rest of the Russian Caucus would be Ottoman puppet or client states. The Ottomans would annex the rest of the Arabian Peninsula which was controlled by local tribes which would be in modern day Saudi Arabia, because the UK did get assistance from local Arabs which would make the Ottomans annex the Arab territories. The Ottomans would annex British colonies in the Middle East. The Ottomans would annex the Dodecanese Islands were islands between the coast of Gallipoli and southwestern Turkey that the Ottomans lost in the Italo-Turkish War which the Kingdom of Italy annexed. The Ottomans would most likely regain control over Cyprus, Egypt, and Sudan. Austria-Hungary was also in the decline after annexing Bosnia in 1911 due to multiple sanctions and hostile ethnic groups all over the empire. Austria-Hungary wanted to weaken hostile Balkan powers to retain dominance over the Balkans, Montenegro, Albania, and what's left of Serbia would become Austro-Hungarian puppet states, Austria-Hungary would annex Veneto from Italy, as the Austrian Empire and later the Austro-Hungarian Empire annexed Veneto until losing to Napoleon, but they reconqured Veneto but lost it to the new Kingdom of Italy in 1867 during the Italian reunification war. Also during the treaty of Bucharest had Austria-Hungary annex small amounts of land from Romania. The German Empire had the most imperial ambitions. Germany wanted to annex more of France, all of Luxembourg and parts of Belgium, Belgium would become a German client state. Germany wanted to annex a huge chunk of the Russian Empire, Also due to the Russian Revolution, a handful of nations gained independence from the Russian Empire, Germany wanted Crimea, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to become German puppets, Germany also wanted German friendly governments in Finland, Ukraine, and Belarus. The Germans also wanted Georgia in the Caucus region to become an independent state but the Ottomans will most likely win  Georgia. Germany also wanted the entire island of Ireland to become independent from the United Kingdom. Overall German influence would spread all across Europe. The Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire would collapse even with a Central Power victory. Today would look very different if Germany won the war but thankfully they didn't.
