her mind was still trying to intrude. she pushed the thoughts out and told herself to live in the moment, and that he would protect her, but it was still there, scratching at the door.
she glanced at him, her eyes falling slightly, and he returned the gaze. he smiled and whispered, "it'll be okay," and gave her a gentle kiss.
