Mistaken

A crying girl with a smile on her face

Swimming on but drowning in her place

Wearing long-sleeves of fashion

but hiding what she put on her arms with a passion

She decides that she doesn't want to hurt anymore

Even if the bloody cuts leave sores

She will never forget the relief of war

Always wanting to walk out the door

Continuously falling face first on the floor

She screams inside but fake smiles hide her pain

She doesn't want to  gain any fame

Her eyes stay dry and her arms cry blood

Inside her brain ideas flood.

Her heart is breakin'

But you were mistaken

The girl you thought you once knew

Guess what? She cries too.
