They say life is hard and unpredictable. I'm sure I know that firsthand. But even in the most roughest times, I deceived myself into thinking I will receive my happily ever after. After all, that's what happens in fairy tales right?

It was only when I experienced true loss did I realize that we don't live in fairy tales. Life doesn't begin in once upon a time and ends with a happily ever after.

But I thought I had met happiness. I had a boyfriend who loves me just as much I love him. No matter what happens to me, I know he will be by my side.

Yet just after one devastating accident, I lost everything. I lost my memories, I lost past, I lost my love for the boy I thought I was destined to.

What if I fall in love with someone else?

I felt a light kiss on my forehead and my eyes fluttered open. A familiar handsome face hovered over me. I smiled.

"Happy birthday, Chaeyoung." He leaned in and planted another kiss on my lips. "I love you."

"I love you, too."

We continued laying there on the bed, his strong arms wrapped around me. I felt happy, genuinely happy. Maybe I finally had my own happily ever after.

He removed his arm around me and I felt the warmth leave as well. "Let's get up. I have a surprise for you."

"Really?"

"Of course. I'll make sure this is your best birthday." He took off his thin, white shirt and immediately, I blushed uncontrollably.

"Yah! Change in the bathroom!" I tried to look away, to focus on something else other than his strongly built body, but failed miserably.

"Is my beautiful Chaeyoung shy?" He winked at me before taking the clothes he already prepared last night in his arm and headed to the bathroom.

I felt immense heat flushing up to my cheeks as I made the bed. I quickly went over to my wardrobe to find something to wear. But as I neared my wardrobe, I saw one specific outfit has already been neatly folded on top of it.

It was a black jacket that fell just a little bit below my thigh, a black shirt with black shorts, a beanie, a pair of sunglasses, a black watch and black high tops.
