Before I leave this once-enchanting stage
I think...
If I could turn back time,
I'd go before we first met
and command my footsteps
so we walk in parallel lines that never intersect.
Or if I could control fate,
I'd hold you tight against me
and let our hearts beat side by side
so I could never taste the sourness of regret.
Or if only... I had enough will within me,
I'd leave your images behind
and lock you out of my mind —
So then
I'd be safe from the piercing thorns of heartless coldness
where I lie in my little world I nickname —
Cage.
