Chapter 21 - Part 2

Jessica's POV

After about 2 hours, there was a knock on my door. Ethan and I looked at each other and we used our speed ability to quickly get dressed (her outfit above). The person outside my door knocked again and when Ethan and I were both dressed, I answered it. It was only Gilinsky. Thank god for that.

Gilinsky- "Hey, we're about go get ready for the pla-"

He looked over me and saw Ethan casually sitting on my bed, rubbing the back of his neck.

Gilinsky- "What were you two doing in here?"

We answered simultaneously.

"Nothing."

Gilinsky was weirded out at this point.

Gilinsky- "O-kay. I'll just see you downstairs in 5."

Then he walked off with a weird look on his face but shook it off soon after. I closed the door and looked at Ethan. We both started laughing so hard that we couldn't breathe.

Me- "Oh my god, that was so funny."

Ethan- "Did you see his face? He was so weirded out."

We are both still laughing. It was actually so funny for us.

Me- "Anyways, we better get down there before they think something's up."

I was about to open the door but Ethan grabbed my wrist and turned me around. Our faces were an inch apart. He looked me in the eyes and spoke.

Ethan- "What are we?"

I smiled and pecked his lips.

Me- "I don't want to label our relationship to know that I'm yours and you are mine."

A smile curled from the corner of his lips and he kissed me passionately. I smiled and opened the door for Ethan and I. I walked out and turned to see Ethan staring at me. I read his mind.

Ethan- I am so lucky to have a girl like her.

I smiled brightly but then I had to be in a serious mode. My face then turned serious and I ran and jumped off the railing of the stairs. Everyone watched as I landed on my feet with one hand balancing me. I looked up and my eyes were glowing purple. Soon after, I saw someone else jump from the railing and land the same way I did, but more manly. Obviously, it was Ethan. His eyes were glowing his and his brother's beautiful bright green. Then everyone else's eyes glowed, except for Alex, Nate and Jake. The Jacks had their brilliant yellow, Nash had his crimson red, Grayson had his brother's bright green, and Cameron and Matthew had their blood red.

Me- "Let's get these bitches."

I walked past them all. Nash walked next to me, the twins walked behind us and the others were behind them. I told Ethan to walk on the path so it wouldn't be suspicious, and the rest of us walked amongst the trees next to him. I whispered to everyone.

Me- "Okay, everyone get in your positions and we'll meet you there. Alex, Nate and Jake, you guys stay with me and watch over Ethan."

They nodded and walked with me in the woods beside Ethan. We finally made it to the old house. It looks like someone tried to burn it a long time ago. Ethan looked at the house and then at me. He was contemplating his role in the plan. You better get your ass up there or you won't be getting mine. I telepathied him. He sighed and walked up to the broken up porch. He sat there waiting for Meredith to arrive.

It was 10:46pm and she still hasn't arrived. I was currently in front of everyone. They all wanted to leave because they thought she wasn't coming. I was thinking that myself. They were all getting up but I stuck my hand up, signifying them to wait. I smelt the cold air. I smelt her scent but I also smelt Hayes' scent. I whispered to them.

Me- "Do you guys smell that?"

They all smelt the air. They all nodded and went back to their positions. I put my hand down and saw Meredith walk up to Ethan, but I also saw a figure zoom into the back of the house. Hayes. I looked at Nash and the Jacks. I nodded at them and told them to go find Hayes. They went around and zoomed into the back of the house. I looked back at the front of the house and saw that Ethan and Meredith were going inside. This is going perfectly well. I looked at Alex, Nate and Jake.

Me- "Okay, you guys find a way to spy on Meredith and E. Then signal us when to move in."

They nodded and quickly walked towards the house. They were looking through the front window. I decided to read Ethan's mind as he was doing his acting.

Ethan- I hate this so much. Why did it have to be me? Ugh, she's probably sucked every guy off and I'm kissing her right now. Hurry the fuck up, Jess.

After that Jake, Alex and Nate gave us a signal. I looked at Cameron and Matthew.

Me- "You ready?"

They nodded and we used our speed ability to run into the house. Ethan and Meredith quickly moved apart. Meredith gave me a dirty look.

Meredith- "Oh it's just you."

She was about to kiss Ethan again but he stopped her and evilly smirked.

Ethan- "I don't think so."

He tried to get up but Meredith grabbed his wrist and sat him back down. She came up to me. Her diluted. She's trying to compel me.

Meredith- "Leave us and don't remember any of this."

I tried so hard not to laugh and same with Matthew, Cameron and Ethan, but we burst out in laughter. Meredith was so confused. I pretended to wipe a tear or two away.

Me- "You are funny, Mere. But you can't compel me."

She smirked and looked back at Ethan.

Meredith- "Then I'll just compel my baby."

She grabbed his face and tried to compel him.

Me- "You can't compel him either. And don't even try on these two."

I pointed at Matthew and Cameron.

Me- "Cameron has been a vampire longer than you have. And my best buddy, Matthew, is an original. So there is no winning for you."

She let go of Ethan's face and got up. She shrugged her shoulders and smirked.

Meredith- "I guess you're right. Maybe another time, Jessie."

I shrugged my shoulders and smirked. She tried to run but Matthew used his speed ability to get in front of me.

Matthew- "Nobody calls her that."

She turned around and tried to run again but Cameron stopped her.

Cameron- "I don't think so, Meredith."

Then he snapped her neck. Matthew and Cameron grabbed her lifeless body and started carrying it towards Nash's house.

Matthew- "We'll meet you there."

I nodded and then they ran off using their speed ability. I looked at Ethan and he hopped up. I smiled at him and he smiled back. We hugged. He was about to kiss me but I stopped him.

Me- "You wash that mouth before you can kiss me."

I lightly slapped the side of his face and laughed. He chuckled and smiled. I walked out of the house and he followed. I held out my hand for him to grab and he did. We then ran using our speed ability.

It felt so right to be with him. It felt so right for him to be my protector. His brother is also my protector. But Ethan seems to be stronger than what everyone thinks. I can't wait to see what he has in store for Meredith because I know he hates her even more.
