Trapped in the delusion of an existence

Trapped in beckoning moments

It's a loop

A loop that brings bleak feelings

Happiness comes but for a moment

In taunting effrontery
-

We've only lived for this long

No other times of life have we known

So remind us of the days we've lost

And that there are days we're yet to see

But i beg of you not to remind us of today
-

Another year is nigh end

What might we seek solace in

Is there nothing that we may look forward to
-

Our days have turned their backs

In a gathering

An uncertainty of a meeting it is

They plot surreptitiously

Till an admonished figure erupts

Then we are forced to adorn it
