"Do you really want to see the hobbit Audrey? you know that that old cinema shows older or new DVD relise too," said Brooks
"Yeah I do want to see the hobbit. why what do you want to see?" I asked back
"Oh nothing don't worry about it," he said walking out the door.
Man he is really starting to frustrate me.
"You kids comeing?" called Sarah.
"Yep!" we yell back in unison.
It was an awfully quiet trip, I just wish that he would talk to me, say anything, I'm begging.
But the car trip stayed quiet so I turned up the radio and "How long have you known" by the McClymonts came on and I sung every word.

I jumped out if the car and waited for Brooks to join me.
We wet into the cinema, bought pop corn and took our seats. the movie started.

The movie was epic and I felt Like Brooks was coming around, half way through the movie he did the whole cheese yawn thing and put his arm around my shoulder.

When the movie ended we walked out of the cinema and waited for Sarah to pick us up.

"Hey, I just texted Sarah and told her to give us some more time," said Brooks out of the blue.

"Um why?" I asked.
"So we can you know bond?" he said more as a question then an answer.
"Bond really?" I asked, "was that the best word you could come up with?"

He scratched the back of his head "Ah yeah I spose."
I just laughed and he held out his arm and I took it with great excitement and he led me off.
We walked into the IGA, it was open late because its a friday, we bought a roast chook and some roles and headed into the little park. Brooks had carried the bag. The bag was in his left hand, the arm closest to me. Then he shifted the bag into the other hand and lent a little closer to me. Excitement spiked in me. 'He's going to hold my hand!' my thoughts were buzzing inside my head. I made sure that my hand was open and ready.
I was only to be disappointed when he just kept walking. Is he really that clueless? or is that just boys in general?
We made it to a picnic bench and he sat down next to me and started making a role.
When he finished he handed it to me, "For my lady."
"Oh well thank you kind sir," I said taking the role.

We chatted for what felt like hours, but all that was on my mind was if he was going to hold my hand, all i could think of was his ruff calloused hands on mine.

We got talking about the Tamworth country music festival, "So do you sing?" I asked Brooks
"Me sing? ha your funny. What about you do you sing?"
"A little bit yeah but I'm not the best," I said hiding behind my hair.
"come on sing us some," he urged
"Um... what am I suppose to sing?"
"What about I love this Road by Emerson Drive."
"Um okay, I love this feeling of freedom running thorough m veins, been to long in the cross road waiting for the lights to change, even if it take for ever and i never find out where it goes, yeah we know, I love this road."
It was silent, then after a few minuets i hear a clap, closely followed my more claps, then from a second pair of hand I look up and I see Jo standing there. I blush deeply and get up and walk to the car.
I'm closely followed by Brooks and Joe. We buckle up and then Joe spoke, "We need to stop of some were before he head home."
