Chapter 31

The next day, we return to the resort at nine, everybody was awfully worn out. We then receive an announcement from Gin-kun saying that we should gather at the hall at 10 with our school uniform. I dress in my usual way and slump against onii-chan's shoulder. God, I'm tired..... I was about to doze off when I heard two voice yelling.

"Yukihira!!!!" we both turned around and saw Mito-chan and Taku-chan came running towards us. I almost fell down when they squeeze over but fortunately, my twin grabbed me.

"Hey slow down you two. My sister is already hurt-" His sentence cut off by the two of them again.

"What?! Haru-sama is hurt?! Where?!"

"I told you not to hurt yourself and you didn't hear?! How is your wound?!" I show them my wrapped hand and close my eyes, frowning at their questions. They took the signal and left me and asked about the shokugeki yesterday.

Shortly after that, Gin-kun step out and told us the reason we gather here. He told us that we should prepare a breakfast for tomorrow at 6 a.m. using eggs as the main ingredients. The format will be buffet-type breakfast. I grunted and asked my twin.

"What'cha gonna make?"

"Eh? I'm thinking it right now, how about you?"

"Thinking."

Taku-chan then turned around and point at us, "Look forward to it, Yukihiras'! With Italy's classic egg dish arranged in the Aldini's style..... I'll show you a supreme breakfast!"

I yawned and asked the younger Aldini, "So Isami-chan, what kind of dish is that?"

"It's frittata." He was explaining to onii-chan about it but he's stopped by Taku-chan to refrain him from spoiling anymore.

Later, onii-chan approach Erina-chan while I'm still standing not far from them, thinking about the dish I'm making tomorrow. I didn't pay attention to their conversation until she mentioned me.

"You should learn more from your sister, Yukihira Soma." And she left. Why did she mention me so suddenly? Meh, I hope it's nothing important. After Yuuki-chan grabbed onto Marui-chan and bawled about something, I straighten up and marched to the kitchen with them. Yuuki-chan explained about the buffet format to onii-chan while my brain gears is still running.

I was separated with the members because the other kitchen is full. I manage to share the same kitchen with Erina-chan after she notice me lingering around. I greeted Hisako-chan too when I stepped into the kitchen. How about this..... I prepare a test dish with the perfect amount and taste it. Not good.

Erina-chan saw my dish and came towards me, "Isn't this scrambled eggs?" She look at my dish in distaste. "You really caught up with your brother, ain't you?"

"Mah, don't be rude! You wanna have a bite?" I tilted my head and asked thus pushing my dish to her. She took a bite unwillingly and frowned.

"It's no good... You should done this....." She was about to give me a suggestion but I decline it.

"I can do it myself, Erina-chan...."

She sighed and said, "Suit yourself, I'm going to rest...."

She left me with Hisako-chan and I continue to concentrate on my dish. Not long after, I was distracted by a particular sound, "Hisako-chan, the sauce is overheated." I told her without looking. Her nervous heartbeat and the sounds of pots clanking filled my ear as I was tasting another test dish of mine.

"This should be good." I mumble and clean my hands. I notice the secretary is looking at me so I look at her with my questionable face.

"Haru-sama.... Are you serious about serving this dish tomorrow?" she asked while gazing at my plate, golden fluffy scrambled eggs topped with other ingredients.

"Yup! What's the matter?"

Hisako-chan blinked several times, and said, "But, isn't it too decent for Tootsuki's standards?"

I pushed my plate towards her and said, "Maybe. You can take a bite." Hisako-chan lifted up the fork and analyze the ingredients. After that, she took a bite hesitantly.

"This..... This is quite surprising!" The secretary exclaimed.

"Is the amount okay?" I questioned with concern.

"It's not a problem, Haru-sama. Moreover, I'm quite astonished by the ingredients you used. It is perfect for breakfast."

I murmured a thanks to her. "Since I'm finished I'll get some rest.... Don't work too hard, Hisako-chan!" With that, I retreated to my room.

FYI, I've been searching for the whole web for 'egg recipes' for MONTHS. And damn, I have no choice but to choose scrambled eggs.

Please give me a moment while I rest my mind for thinking all those 'inedible' combinations!
