i unlock my apartment door.

what is wrong with you. you want him.

i dropped my keys and ran to my couch.

i needed a way to distract myself from him, but how.

i called gabbie.

"hey gabs, i need help."

"with?"

i sighed.

"well you see, things didn't go to well with david and i." i started to sniff.

"i think i like him, but im not sure."

there was a long silence before gabbie answered.

"well there is a party." she began.

"I'm sure as hell that will distract you."

i froze.

"but-"

"oh shut up with the sappy "im too young" shit."

i laughed.

"come get me?" i asked.

i heard laughing.

"ill be over at 10:00"

i hung up.

gabbie was always there when i needed a friend. thats what i loved about her.

i went into my bathroom and fixed up my makeup.

this is a good thing. maybe ill finally realize that i don't need a boy in my life to keep me happy.

i put on my finally layer of lipstick and headed for the couch.

jesus, for someone who is trying to forget about David, i can't stop thinking about him.

i groaned. remebering his lips on mine, how soft and delicate.

"SHUT UP LIZA!!!" i scream.

i know i made a mistake. ill just have to forget about it.

"knock knock" gabbie yelled.

i opened the door.

"damn liza."

i laughed and slammed the door as we left to go to the party.

as we walked to the car, my phone went off. i knew it was david. i hung up.

"hey gabs." i started.

she looked at me.

"do you know anyone here?"

gabby laughed.

"oh course not."

i just faked a smile and walked in.

it was pretty big.

i immediate followed gabbie to the drinks.

"liza, i won't tell anyone that you are drinking, ok?" she spoke.
