"Paige the new neighbors are here go out and say hi." My mom commanded. "Ok I'm going.. I'm going." I walk outside to see a beautiful couple and one son. "I hope we can be friends." I think to myself as my tiny feet walk toward the new family. "Hi my name is Paige what's your name?" "My name is Ethan. Are you my neighbor?" "I sure am. Do you want to come inside and play?" "Yeah let's go!" "How old are you?" I ask as hot wheels fly across my room. "I'm 5 what about you?" "I'm 5 too!"

"Mom I'm going out with Ethan tonight he's picking me up." I said casually. "I know Paige you go out with him every night it's a routine." "Very funny mom...bye he's here love you." "Bye have fun." "Hey Ethan where are we going tonight?" I say curiously. There is a moment of silence..like he's hiding something. "Well um since you're not going to tell me.. just start driving.. but be careful you just got your permit." I said trying to start a conversation. Nothing. No sounds. No murmurs. No words. Nothing. "Ethan you're making me uncomfortable please talk to me. "We are almost there." Ethan says with a frown.
We arrive at a hospital. "Why are we at a hospital?" I say anxiously. "Come on." Ethan says getting out of the car. I unbuckle my seat belt and walk into the hospital. "Ethan Leblanc?" The nurse calls. "That's me." Ethan said. "Right this way." The nurse leads us into a private room. "It's ok Ethan you'll be fine." The nurse said while walking out the door. It's just us in a quiet room. Ethan grabs the piece of paper the nurse gave him and starts reading it to me. "Paige I have cancer."
This is my first chapter of Always you. It's going to get better I promise. I'm actually going to finish this book unlike my last ones :)
