The next morning was very hectic. Students ran around the castle, trying to retrieve things they had forgotten to pack. Students who were not leaving over break were having breakfast in the Great Hall. Kids who had everything and were ready to go were already boarding the train. Some students were just so confused that they didn't know what to do. Hermione, Ginny, Harry, and Ron were all trying to lug their trunks to the train.
"Hermione, do you want me to carry that for you?" Ron asked, as it was clear both the girls were struggling with their luggage.
"Honestly Ron, I told you I was fine," Hermione said, out of breath.
"I know you're fine. I wasn't offering because of that. I was offering because I am you boyfriend," Ron smiled. Hermione smiled back.
"Well in that case, here." Hermione dumped her trunk on top of Ron's. He staggered under the weight. Hermione gave him a kiss on the cheek as a thank you.
"May I take yours, Ginny?" Harry asked shyly.
"Well, I'm not your girlfriend, but what the heck," Ginny said, dumping her trunk on top of Harry's like Hermione had. Then, copying Hermione, Ginny gave Harry a kiss on the cheek. Both the girls then ran away, laughing. Ron and Harry looked at each other with an exasperated expression, and then followed the girls.
All four of them were finally together, heading to their normal spot on the train, when Draco spotted Hermione. He looked really nice. He was in a crisp black suit and his hair was gelled back.
"Hermione, can I talk to you for a second?" Draco asked. Hermione glanced back at her friends and nodded.
"You guys go ahead. I'll be there in a moment," Hermione said. Draco then pulled her into an empty compartment.
"Draco-" Hermione started, but Draco cut her off.
"Hermione, listen. I miss you. I miss you a lot." Then his voice dropped down to a whisper. "I was wondering if you would give me a second chance?"
"I can't, Draco. You know I'm dating Ron right now, and he makes me really happy. I miss you too, though," Hermione said, looking into his eyes. Draco sighed.
"Hermione...."
"Draco, please. Don't," Hermione begged.
