I turned and tossed over in bed as i heard footsteps. I hoped this was a nightmare. But I knew it wasn't. I got up quickly. This happens every night. "It" loves to play hide and seek. Every night, at 12:00 am, exactly midnight, it comes out to play. I have to hide, and if it finds me, I have to run. This goes on for half an hour. It quite honestly scares me half to death, but anyone would be scared of it. It doesn't talk too much. Only a couple of words. It tells me, "hush". That's all it will say. It doesn't have a name, a soul, a past, or a gender. I stop as I feel two hands covering my mouth.
Hush Child.
