We can see at the end of Chapter 4, the normally quiet and well mannered male seems to be hiding something serious in his office desk in a locked drawer. Plus he's become out of character by the beginning of chapter 5 which is the next morning after we discover he's hiding something.

We are given a hint by Ms. Helberg, the Homeroom and English teacher, that a new student will be arriving. From the sounds of how Holi and Katelinn are close, giving us the impression that the teacher knows something Holi doesn't.
