And we get to the parts where Shiaye lives alone and watches over Naruto yet can't do anything about the people, we get to the story following the show. I'm still gonna update just occasions of this story.
Naru-kun's growing up. He's failed the test two times already, but I have a feeling he'll graduate today, somehow, he will.
Many know that he's failed, all of Konoha does, actually. But I believe in him.
My adoptive daughter is the same age as him and it's graduation day for her as well, she's in his class. She has red hair and emerald green eyes, she's an Uzumaki, she's not friends with him but she believes in him, she's neutral, like some other kids.
We live in the new Uzumaki compound with some other families, no children her age, so we rather go to the village playground where she hangs out with kids her age. Her name is Harani Uzumaki.
Since the ninetails' attack I've lost the ability to see my visions, but I'm not complaining, I've been living like a normal person. I fell in love with Iruka. Who would've thought? Iruka Umino, the boy who became the class clown.
We've long since stopped taking on missions, I'm jounin, he's chuunin. We plan on him moving to live with me and Harani, she knows he's not her dad and I'm not her mom, but we love her and she loves us like she was our daughter and we were her parents.
Iruka works at the academy, he's Harani's and Naruto's teacher. He used to hate Naruto, but Hokage-sama and I changed his mind.
I'm now at the academy, waiting for Harani and Iruka, maybe to know if Naruto passed. I know Harani will pass, she's near the top of her class and not because of Iruka, because of skill. She's trained hard. I'm very proud of her.
Kids one by one flooded out of school to meet their parents and show their leaf village headbands. Suddenly Harani flew through the doors along with her long, crimson hair with a wide grin spread on her lips.
"Mom! I did it! I passed! I passed! See?!" She showed me her headband tied around her neck loosely, it was a soft blue color that looked beaitiful with her hair.
"And dad said he was proud of me!" She smiled, I returned her enthusiasm.
"I'm proud of you too." I hugged her to me. "How about we wait for dad to finish, eh?"
"Yeah! And then we can go home and you can cook some ramen for the three of us!" She cheered.
"Because ramen's the best!" We cheered in sync and laughed.
We sat down at the base of a tree near the entrance and just talked, not paying attention to our surrounding and the other families. That was until we heard most of them talking about the same thing. The boy who failed for the third time. Naruto.
"Mom, why are they so mean to him?" Harani looked up to me.
I hugged her closer to my side, "I don't know, sweetheart, he's alone and they just like to hurt him." I looked down sadly.
"But that's not fair! It's not fair to be mean to him just because he has no one! That's just cruel!" She jumped to her feet and yelled.
"I know, sweety." I said gently, Naruto had long since ran off.
"Don't you have better things to do than hurt him?! He's a kid! How would you feel if nearly everyone in the village hurt you just because you have no parents?!" She yelled at the adults that were saying those hurtful things about Naruto. She was standing up for him. She wouldn't befriend anyone, yet she's kind to them.
They spared just a glance to her before turning away and ignoring her outburst. She looked to me desperately. I stood to my feet and hugged her, scooping her up into my arms as if she were again the age of five.
