The drive was long, but the two paranormal investigators had finally made it to the old supposedly haunted motel.

The pie team have received a call from an old man, explaining the numerous reports of multiple ghost sightings from the residents staying at his motel. Apparently, there was a high level of paranormal activity happening within the building, especially in one of the suites on the top floor, the rumor being that someone had died there and their ghost had been haunting there ever since.

Stepping out of the van, Ghost and Toast had walked into the lobby, meeting up with the old man that owned the motel, listening to his complaints for a moment. After giving them the key to the suite, he pointed them in the direction to the elevators.

Stepping into one of the small spaced boxes, a spark of fear ran down Ghost's spine when the sliding door locked them in.

Ghost eyes lingered to Toast as he pressed on the oval button on the panel, seeing him push on the top floor, the 50th floor...

Panic slowly began to take over all of Ghost's senses, and his felt as if his heart had dropped when the feeling of the elevator elevating, rising upward. Being terrified of heights, Ghost feared the idea of being stuck in an elevator in mid air, without any chance of escaping.

As usual, he looked for the elevator bars to hold onto.

And of course, being an old motel, the elevator was missing elevator bars.

Crap.

Feeling his breathing going rapid, he thought of what he could grab onto instead.

Suddenly the elevator creaked, and there was a sharp jerk that caused Ghost to freak out and cling to the one thing closest to him, which happened to be his partner Toast.

"Um, sir..?" The British boy looked at Ghost, who was grasping his arm tightly with his eyes wide and face flushed.

The burnett sheepishly looked up, his face growing brighter when he realized how tightly he had grabbed Toast's arm, quietly apologizing.

The elevator continued to shake, and this led Ghost to full on panic, his eyes tearing up and his heart racing in his chest. Toast noticed, seeing Ghost hyperventilating and start twitching.

Rolling his eyes, he sighed as he took Ghost's hands, and squeezing them. Glossy brown eyes locked onto Toast's crystal blue ones, relaxing Ghost, and causing him to forget where he was for a moment. Their fingers slowly intertwined, and Ghost eyes rolled down to look at their hands. They looked to have fit perfectly together.

With each bump, Ghost's grip on Toast's hand tightened.

Finally, the elevator door slid open, and Ghost hurdled out, pulling Toast along with him.

"Oh thank Gosh..." Ghost breathed out, taking a moment to breathe and regain some of his cool.

Toast chuckled, squeezing Ghost's hand one last time, before pressing a small gentle kiss on the top of Ghost's forehead, the feeling of his soft lips against his skin making him dizzy and his face to burn.

"You made it, you're still alive..." Toast hummed, smirking a bit.

Half of Ghost wanted to take the stairs next time. The other half of Ghost wanted to take the elevator again....
