"If you're really not him, then where could he be?" She says out loud, resting her head on her arms. She sits back up as the teacher walks in, carrying a large stack of papers.

"Why would I know?" He replies after a moment of silence.

The teacher starts calling out names for the attendance. "Because you knew that he had let go of me," she whispers, knowing fully well that this teacher doesn't appreciate noise while he was doing attendance.

"That's your reason? To anyone, it was obvious. He left you, yet you are still clinging onto the idea of him."

She just laughs, scrunching her nose and letting the giggle out. A look from the teacher up front makes her stop. He looks at her, confusion clear on his face.

"But you're still here. You never left."
