Ever notice that with ships, for example, like Septiplier, they joke about it all the time. Always say things that are normal couple things, but are clearly jokes, to fuel the fandom. Dan and Phil never do that. Even when it comes up they always deny it, or get away from the subject topic as fast as possible. When you are trying to hide something you have this little voice in your head that tells you 'if you do this people will know this. Don't make it obvious', etc. They half the time will avoid even simple contact, like holding hands just so they don't look like a couple. And they are so fast to come up with excuses for there 'couple like' behavior.
