do i need to be a poet if i have never experienced heartbreak do i need to carry heartbreak in my heart so i can write out the words using the blood that seeps from the cracks in my heart does that make me a poet then do i need to cry so i can cool my words in water from my lungs
can i not be a poet if i let the warmth i have felt over all these years spill out like sunlight from my heart and let it illuminate the world with its warmth is that not poetry too or is my chosen art form not valid because it does not express my inner demons but my inner light
