Ratchet's POV
Optimus and I had frozen. We heard a soft thump in the shadows. Something is in here with us! I thought, a slight panic rising in my spark. We both turned to the dark rock wall. At first we saw nor heard anything. I started to relax, until I heard a soft growl and two purple eyes shined, staring at us. The eyes seemed to be attached to a slender, but strong looking, body. Something seemed familiar about the strange creature. I narrowed my optics as another growl emitted from the creature. That growl was familiar, too. My optics widened. Moon? I took a step forward. Optimus was about to stop me, but instead stopped himself. "Moon? Is that you?" I said softly into the shadows. The eyes widened slightly at the name and the creature tilted its head to the side a small bit. It lowered its head a little as it slowly made its way into the light. As it completely came out of the shadows my optics widened. It is Moon. Joy filled my spark that we had finally found her. I started to approach her, but as I lifted my hand she jerked back, as if I had just spat at her. "Moon?" I said confused as I took another step towards her, reaching my hand towards her. But she jerked away from me again, raised her head with a small growl, and took a step back. "Ratchet.......somethings not right....." Optimus whispered from behind me. I wanted to ignore him, but my spark knew that it was true. Something wasn't right with Moon. She hadn't spoke and she hadn't made any reactions that she even knew them. My spark slightly broke at the thought. "Moon, what's wr--" my question was cut off as she turned sharply, ran towards the rock wall, spreading her wings, and took off. Or.....at least tried to. She flapped her wings frantically, but they were uneven. Her left wing seemed to flap slower then the other. That's when I saw the slash on her left wing. My optics widened as she pushed off the rock and tried to glide down to land but failed and rolled to stop, her wings flapping to steady her. She's hurt! But I can't help her if she won't let me approach her. I was quickly trying to find a solution to this problem when Optimus appeared behind me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "We should return to base. She can not leave this place so we know where to find her. But we can't do anything for her right now." He explained softly. He knew how much this hurt me, no matter how hard I tried to hide it. "You can return back to base, Optimus. I shall stay here with her, find out what happened to her," I stared at her she picked herself off the ground, a pained look in her optics. "And try to help however I can, to get her back to normal." Optimus sighed, he knew that he couldn't get me out of this one. No matter what he said or did, I would stay here. He explained that if they needed me, or I needed them, that him or I would com each other. Then he climbed out and left through a ground bridge. I watched him go then turned to Moon. She was digging in the ground for Primus knows what. I sat on a nearby rock and sighed. Placing my helm in my hands. How can I help someone, when they won't let me? How do you approach someone, who can't be approached? The answer: you can't. I sighed in frustration and stayed still until I heard metal talons approaching.
Moon's POV
The larger robot, called Optimus, had climbed out and left. The smaller one, called Ratchet, still remained. I had been watching them from the corner of my optic, just to make sure that neither of them approached me like that Ratchet did. He acted as if he knew me, he knew my name. How does he know so much? Something was trying to tug at my mind and spark, as if trying to remind me of something, but what? I watched as Ratchet sat on a rock, thankfully not anywhere near me. I started to see if there was any energon nearby. I had recently run low of it and needed to get some in my system. My senses flared when I found some near the rock wall, about a foot under the ground. I started digging. I finally uncovered some. I used my jaws to break a chunk off and lift it out. As I lifted my head, I looked towards Ratchet. He was still on the rock, but he had his helm in his hands and looked pretty upset. My senses told me that he was low on energon as well. That could be the reason why he is upset. I thought for a moment then and idea popped in my head, but I wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not. I thought about it for a few seconds then sighed. Picking up the chunk of energon, I slowly and carefully made my way towards him. I got to a couple yards away from him without him noticing me. I carefully placed the energon down and pushed it towards him with my nose. It hit his foot and he looked at it confused, then looked at me. I raised my head slightly. He sighed picked up the energon and looked back at me. "I get it. You want me to have it because my energon's low," He gave a small chuckle. "You're just like her. Just like Moon. Even with your appearance. All except your optics and actions. Moon, if it really is you, please just talk to me, or show me a single sign. Please." His voice was quiet and seemed desperate. I was confused. How does he know my name, but I can't remember him? What kind of sign does he want? He sighed sadly and looked down in defeat. I huffed at him, he looked at me, I ran behind him and pushed him off the rock. He got up and looked at me confused. I had an idea. I ran past him to a ledge that stuck out of the rock like a sideways stalagmite. I jumped up on it, wrapped my tail around it, and hung upside down, looking at him. I may not remember where, but I do remember I did this a lot. He smiled for a minute, then the smile disappeared and he looked down. "Almost any predacon can do that." He said softly. He was about to turn away, when I caught sight of the Autobots signal on his chest. Something flashed in my mind and I looked to the same sign on my shoulder. I quickly dropped down, ran to him, and spun him around. He looked at me confused. I pointed to the sign on his chest then pointed to the sign on my arm. He looked at it for a second then looked into my optics. I took an uncomfortable step back. He seemed astonished and in thought at the same time as he continued to looked. He reached out a hand towards me, like he had done before. I instantly growled at him and ran to my ledge, hissing. I just had to show him, who I was. I never agreed to be friends. I laid down, my back facing him. Then I thought for a second. But what if I am actually supposed to be friends? That could explain why he keeps acting like that. He keeps acting like we've known each other for a while now. Grrrrr! Why can't I get my mind straight!
Ratchet's POV
I watched as Moon laid down on a ledge, her back facing me. I sighed and sat on a rock, turning away from Moon, and brought out some tools and parts and started working on them. After about and hour of silence, I heard a growl behind me. Instinctively, I turned around to see that Moon was the source of the sound. She was still laying down, but her head was on the ledge, her optics were closed, she had a pained look on her face, and her talons were clutching her head. Could be another one of her headaches. Ever since Moon had joined us, she had some 'reactions' to whenever someone got hurt. She had said that she would get a headache when an Autobot got hurt. The worst the injury, the worst the ache. And then she would get a twinge in between her wings when a decepticon got hurt. Though these reactions occurred during battle, she had learned to shut them out so she could concentrate on the battle and not on her pain. But this, what I guessed was another 'reaction', had a different touch to it. It looked like she was trying to pull a long lost memory out of her mind. Wait......memory......lost?! That's what happened! I stood up with such a sudden urgency, that it caused Moon to stop what she was doing and stare at me with confusion. The pieces started to fit together. I instantly made a com link to the whole team. "Everybody! Come to my coordinates! Quick!"
There we go. Another chapter done. Man, this one took me a whole day, plus school. Anyway, hope you guys like this, and I will see you guys at the next chapter! Love ya! 💖
